Live healthy regardless of age!

A matter of the vital importance - healthy lifestyle choices for seniors. Indeed, this issue absolutely cannot be ignored when tackling the problems the elderly tend to face. Although our social campaign gravitates to the social aspect  - providing essential communication opportunities, as well as talents developing conditions, - I believe satisfaction of basic healthcare needs to be our fundamental cause. Because, if elderly people are physically not able to engage in any activities and services we are going to organize, what is then the purpose of what we are trying to do for them?
An effective way to apply the tips of how to lead a healthy life when you are in your ...0's is first and foremost, to educate the elderly about what is healthy for them and how they can take care of their bodies on their own. Secondly, it would probably be a good idea to carry out a thorough medical examination; finally, based on doctor's suggestions we can implement different tactics to help seniors maintain their physical well-being. What are the best ways to do the latter? I am open to your ideas!

Grandparents In The Kitchen

It sounds like fun, doesn't it - to bring a dozen of elderly people to a kitchen and suggest them making some food together. Not a unique experience for women to spend a couple of hours in the kitchen? Right, but let's imagine they are having fun TOGETHER, making food the have NEVER TRIED BEFORE - like the one they have here. What about inviting someone of the Indian nationality to give a presentation about their traditional cuisine? It is not difficult to find an Indian in my native town; there are a lot of students from this country studying in the Bukovinian State Medical University. I believe they would be willing to participate in our campaign. The question is WHERE and HOW we can organize the meeting. Any ideas? I would be happy to read your comments.

A step towards better understanding between you and your grandparents!

Now that I am gathering information that might be helpful for our social campaign, one of my major priorities is to brainstorm ideas of how different generations - young people and their grandparents - can communicate with each other in such a way that would make this experience beneficial for both. Here is an article on this topic that I find very convincing and inspiring; it perfectly relates to my above-mentioned objective. Any ideas of how to fulfill the purpose of establishing long-lasting bonds between the youth and the elderly? Your comments are always welcomed!

My social campaign

The social issue that bothers me very much is providing the elderly with well-deserved life conditions. It’s a great shame for me to realize that old people in Ukraine do not receive proper health care and social protection. Financial hardships sometimes prevent them from leading an active lifestyle. So what I decided would be really beneficial for elderly people in my home town as well as in other communities is if they could spend some time together doing sports, tapping into their talents, and doing other fun and healthy activities. I am also going to organize school and family reunions. In fact, there are a lot of opportunities to express our appreciation to the elderly and take care of them. I hope to achieve this goal through promoting my campaign in the Internet, using social media as well as this blog. I also rely on the commitment of people who are not indifferent about their grandparents' quality of life. Caring granddaughters and grandsons, let's bring more happiness to the world!
